ideal browser configuration

this web app is best used when paired with a browser (or browser extension) that allows you to:

1. open a custom URL when opening a new tab
2. focus the page content when opening a new tab

my personal recommendation is to use Vivaldi, a Chrome based browser that offers a setting for both of these things.

specific vivaldi settings

1. General -> Startup -> Homepage -> Select "Specific Page" and set it to https://fastab.xyz
2. Tabs -> New Tab Page -> Select "Homepage" if you set the previous setting, or the custom URL option set to https://fastab.xyz
3. Tabs -> Tab Handling -> Select "Focus Page Content on New Tab"

with those settings you should be able to open a new tab with CTRL + T (or whatever keybind your browser uses for opening a new tab) and immediately press SPACE to search, or a chord you configured to open a bookmark in a bookmark set widget.
